Profile: Giuliana Angela — the name of the composer’s mother — is a work for piano that explores the melodic and harmonic possibilities of the acoustic spectrum. Each moment draws a labyrinth between music-box and requiem, between requiem and lullaby, like a succession of layers of memory within the same landscape.

Mi ha-sefer…
Profile: Mi ha-sefer…, 1986, is presented by Aldo Brizzi as a synthesis of the compositional structures he used during the 1980s. Several versions are possible: tape alone, saxophone and tape, and saxophone, percussion and tape. The album documents the tape version, in which 153 real saxophone parts are recorded across six octaves; each voice loses itself in this labyrinth as in an immense crowd.
