The Labyrinth Trial
Profile: A central album in Aldo Brizzi’s instrumental output: the first collection in which elements from ethnic and popular traditions give new life to the sonic speculation of written music, creating a timbral universe around viola, percussion, guitar and electroacoustic space.
Vela
Profile: Seven pieces, each conceived for one of the seven saxophones — from sopranino to contrabass — as a variation on the same musical material. The three ensembles — woodwinds, brass and strings — each have a single music, recurring unchanged in the various possible combinations: singly, in pairs, or in full superimposition. The result is a kaleidoscope of timbral tension and rhythmic energy.
